"Vivencias", Three pieces for Viola and Piano by Jorge Córdoba.

Jorge Córdoba Valencia is a Mexican composer and conductor; His studies were carried out at the National Conservatory of Music, as well as in Spain, Brazil, the Dominican Republic, the United States, and Hungary. Within his catalog, we find works of chamber music, vocal, and orchestral music, which have been performed in various countries around the world. In his choral work, he has been invited as a writer and composer to the International Summit of Choral Art in Puerto Rico (20212); in July of the same year, he participated conducting the Túumben Paax Vocal Ensemble, in the First International Choral Festival, in Florence Italy, where he obtained the First Place in Contemporary Music and also he won a trophy for being considered the best choir of the festival.

Within his catalog, we find a work entitled "Vivencias", three pieces for Viola and Piano, the work consists of three movements: I. "Ruptura", II. "Abismo", III. "Nuevo Horizonte". The first movement is presented with a very rhythmic theme on the part of both instruments, the theme develops and is presented again in the movement, although it has moments of relaxation and singing for the viola. The second movement begins with an introduction of the piano, which after the viola is integrated, a calm movement. In the III movement we return to a faster tempo, having memories of the main theme of the first movement, the interesting thing about this movement is that it has a kind of cadenza where the viola develops this theme of the first movement.

It is a great interpretation of the musicians in this video, Mr. Esteban León, and especially Mr. Matthew Schubring, who has been a promoter of the Mexican repertoire for viola, he has premiered various works, as well as with chamber ensembles; in the same way, maestro Schubring has carried out an intense pedagogical activity in our country, and his students today are part of various symphony orchestras in Mexico.
